What a celebration: Zoebas's fiftieth anniversary! Together with Zoebas—and especially coach Noël, Rivertrotters player, and friend, Olympian and 3x3 gold medalist Arvin Slagter—we were able to create a unique experience for more than eighty youth players under the age of fourteen. Our partnership with Zoebas is intense and valuable; the Basketball with Impact foundation was even founded here. This anniversary was the perfect opportunity to do something new and special together.

Training like a pro: official measurements and personal growth

The day was all about fun and training like a pro. We worked on agility, footwork, jumping technique, dribbling skills, and shooting technique. Uniquely, all scores, times, and jumps were recorded using official measuring equipment and LED lines! Each child received a personalized metal plaque commemorating their performance – a lasting memory and a confidence boost. More than 60% of participants ordered such a plaque, a first in the basketball world!

Show, stations and group photos: inspiration for the future

The day started with a freestyle show by myself and a spectacular dunk display by Noël – the kids even got to do an alley-oop. Then they rotated through various stations: jumping power, speed, dribbling, and shooting. Everything was measured and recorded; competition, personal attention, and growth were the focus. The under-14s enjoyed an extra-intensive program where everyone could improve. And of course: group photos, action shots, and lots of happy faces.

This anniversary wasn't just a day to remember, but above all, a source of inspiration for the youth. The future of basketball begins with such unique experiences and collaborations.
