Gamechangers project at The Hague football club
For The Hague football club VCS, I'm rolling out the Gamechangers project to three groups, together with Romano from the Mentality Foundation. It's a Sunday afternoon when I arrive for the first time at a football clubhouse like everyone remembers from their youth: outdated furniture and cigarette butts on the floor, yet still cozy and welcoming, and everyone feels at home.
The boys have already been informed by the Mentality Foundation that a social project called Gamechangers is coming up. They've announced me as "a mystery guest who isn't directly interested in football, but certainly has a thing for a ball." Although the young people are enthusiastic about the idea of contributing to society and have already come up with some interesting ideas of their own, they're still a bit hesitant. It's certainly nerve-wracking, not knowing what's expected of you on a Sunday morning.
