Nostalgic moment at the opening of The Hague University of Applied Sciences

It's the first day of school for all first-year students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Although it's been 22 years since I first set foot in the building, I still remember that exciting moment vividly. When I walked out of there in 2006 with my "small business and retail management" diploma in hand, I could never have imagined that I'd be returning here so many years later in this way.

Interaction and fun

After unloading, I received a warm welcome from Ellen. We already knew each other from Teamplayers, so we quickly agreed on the day's activities. This day would be all about the wonderful study time the students had ahead of them, so we wanted to create a pleasant atmosphere. Music would be playing from the boxing, and there would be several food stalls. The activities we offered should be accessible and inviting, from lucky shots to passing challenges, so everyone could come out during the breaks to join in. And it all went according to plan. Over 300 students took a lucky shot, and I performed two shows in between to entertain the bystanders. When I have a basketball in my hands, I always get lost in the moment. I'm actually already 10 minutes late when a Spanish guy at Crocks wants to play a game with me. "I like your style," he says cheerfully as the basketball bounces through his legs. It's a nice way to end a successful day.
