Krajicek Tournament Day 2025: Urban sports for young people

Sunday, October 12th, was all about Krajicek Tournament Day 2025 – the urban sports event where everything revolves around energy, fun, and connection. Young people from Krajicek Playgrounds, aged 8 to 18, gathered for the annual 3x3 basketball tournament. But there was so much more: freerunning, BMXing, skateboarding, wall climbing… It was a day full of discovery, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. The atmosphere? Truly urban, with a community that supports, challenges, and inspires each other.

SB arcade machine as an eye-catcher

Is Showcase Steph Curry's brother?

Amidst all the action, the SB arcade machine was shining as a side event. A surprising number of children from The Hague and Tilburg immediately recognized Showcase Basketball. Little Yusuf even asked after signing our flyer if Galdino was Stephen Curry's brother – "because he looks just like him!" The most frequently asked question: who has the highest score ever? The answer remains unchanged: Mister Showcase himself, Galdino Haime, with 535 points.

High scores, competition and camaraderie

The real battle for the high score erupted when a group of girls kept trying to break the record. A score of 102 points was celebrated with loud cheers, until Yusuf set the new daily high with 104 points. Even the youngest visitors were given a try – the happy faces and sweet moments at the machine were worth their weight in gold. In the end, it was community sports coach Danny who emerged as the unbeatable winner with 232 points. But more important than winning? The laughter, the fun, and the feeling of experiencing something together – that is Krajicek Tournament Day 2025.
