The Sneakerness 2025 Amsterdam event wasn't just any trade show. It was an experience full of innovation, interaction, and energy. This year, we'll take you behind the scenes through the eyes of three team members: Galdino, Noël, and Aymane. Each of them experienced Sneakerness in their own way, with personal anecdotes and unique moments. This way, you'll get a complete picture of the event and the power of teamwork within Showcase Basketball.
Together with House of Esports, we brought four PlayStation game cases and a Driving Experience with two Meta VR headsets to Sneakerness. Visitors immersed themselves in virtual reality, challenged each other, and enjoyed the added dimension of gaming. Thanks to the strong team and meticulous preparation, the set-up went faster than ever. New jerseys, a sneaker ball, and a shared chicken dinner: typical Showcase! Even the rain on Sunday couldn't dampen the atmosphere. We concluded with nasi goreng, chicken from Amigo, and a game of table tennis set to music. Energy all the way.
For Noël, it was his first Sneakerness ever, and he was off to a flying start! After hectic weeks of scripting and preparation, the set-up went smoothly. At the reaction machine, Noël saw how enthusiastic the visitors were, especially on Sunday when families and children set the mood. Working together as a team, complementing each other, and everyone knowing their role made the weekend not only fun but also successful. Even the rain during the clean-up didn't dampen the fun.
Aymane was responsible for the flyers, QR codes, and game cases. On Saturdays, he was at the PlayStations, hosting Insta Stories. It quickly turned into a competition: visitors challenged him to FIFA and NBA 2K, but Aymane never lost a single game! He showed visitors their skills with the Stays Bright Ball, and he made every game a bet. If he won, the opponent had to buy something from us. The Claw Machine was also a source of laughter: the crew won five times, the visitors none. Showie clearly had a secret trick…
