A CONCEPT
The sports trade fair in Gorinchem is an annual fixture in the sports world. All facets of sports come together here: from scoreboards to IT systems and equipment. This year, I'm there with none other than Royal Campen, one of my regular partners, from whom we also sourced a half-court floor. It's remarkable to see the entire municipality come together here. For 20 years, Royal Campen has proven to supply the best flooring in the Netherlands to all the associations.
Royal Campen has been a leading brand in the Netherlands for over 20 years and therefore has a booth at the trade fair. They're keen to create extra engagement and interaction with visitors and asked me to help them achieve this. The large booth, 15 meters wide and 3 meters deep, is located next to the urban area with a cycling and freerunning track. Here, we can talk to customers and share our expertise: René knows everything about flooring, and I share my practical experience with it.
We're an extension of the courts, like the Artcourt in Rotterdam and the Woodpeckers court in Houten, where I attended the opening. I'm present for every court opening I'm commissioned. We've also set up a basket and an arcade machine so visitors can have a shot at the ball. We also organize the Silly Bouncer Challenge to test the floor's grip.
